SARS-CoV-2 Mutation Viewer

Short overview

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critical to understand how SARS-CoV-2 mutations change over time and how this affects vaccines and therapeutics, as it can change the infection rate and COVID disease outcomes. Therefore, there is a need for effective display and visualization of SARS-CoV-2 mutation data available in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) , so it more accessible and understandable for the scientific community.

As a product designer and a subject matter expert at NCBI, I designed a prototype for SARS-CoV-2 Mutation Viewer dashbord. This dashboard will allow scientists to visualize and analyze how mutations change over time and how this affects vaccines and teurapeutics.
